12 weeks pregnant, due May 16...I'm gonna be a baby mama! It's still sinking in for Jake and I...parents-to-be! It just finally felt "real" when we got to share the excitement with his family this weekend. Finishing residency and being done with school was a milestone for us, and it is so amazing that God blessed us with this baby at the perfect time. BUT, even when we think we are ready and say "let's go for it!" you are never truly prepared- so we are counting our blessings and saying our prayers that we can be ready by May!
We wanted to start blogging for our friends and family who live sadly so far from us so that we can all experience this journey together from start to finish! It truly does take a village to raise a child and we want our "village" to be a part, even though they may be far from us.
We hope you enjoy reading and keeping up with us as we start the excitement of pregnancy and parenthood!
We are so excited for you both, you will make wonderful parents! Looking forward to hearing all the pregnancy stories and meeting your precious little boy or girl very soon. Love the shirts too, so cute :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome, Sweet pea, gingersnap, gummi bear, precious one, little honey pot, baby snookums, pooh-bear, puddin'andpie,sweetie,lovey, yummmy-yummy, gramma's sweet patootie, perfect babe-o'mine! Oh, I could go on and on .... We are just a LITTLE bit excited about our grandbaby to be. Of course, I am convinced you will be the most awesome parents because you are increbible people already. God has prepared your hearts for this little one and I know that this baby will be so cherished by you. Praise God for this great gift. I pray for your safe and healthy pregnancy, Jamie. How very blessed I am to have such a terrific wife for my son and now such a wonderful mom for this long-awaited child. Take care of yourself and our little one. I know that Jake is taking good care of you too... in the midst of studying and drilling and sticking! It'll be fun following your pregnancy journey in this blog. Great idea... Enjoy it.
