Has it already been 4 months?? My sweet mother gave me a chram bracelet and each month I get to add a charm. It seems like I just started with my first charm, a baby stroller! This month was an alphabet block- so fun. We had our appointment this week and got to hear the heart beat again. Little sugar plum was flipping and swimming around during the 15 seconds we were listening. Sounds like our little baby might be quite a mover and shaker! Here's the fun part- we get to find out on MONDAY what lies between that baby's little legs! I'm thinking girl today, but yesterday I felt like it was a boy...

We went to Ana and Jerrod's house in South Carolina for Thanksgiving this year and spent Turkey day on the beach roasting hot dogs- doesn't get better than that. We got to hug and squeeze on our little niece and nephews and our new addition to the crew, chill Will. That baby makes everyone want to have a baby! Abigail was trying to learn to play Star Wars with Kole and Jack, but had a hard time sword fighting with her my little pony in one hand. Kole showed off his skills on the Wii and Jack would sing about anything, with his favorite being "chicken fried" by Zack Brown. It was so fun to be together and share our baby bump with our family! I was pretty sick for, well, pretty much the whole trip- which is soooo not like me! I am on my second course of antibiotics and hopefully this will nip it in the bud!

Stay tuned! I will let ya know on Monday whether to see pink or blue booties in our future!

The Kirby's make 3!

12 weeks pregnant, due May 16...I'm gonna be a baby mama! It's still sinking in for Jake and I...parents-to-be! It just finally felt "real" when we got to share the excitement with his family this weekend. Finishing residency and being done with school was a milestone for us, and it is so amazing that God blessed us with this baby at the perfect time. BUT, even when we think we are ready and say "let's go for it!" you are never truly prepared- so we are counting our blessings and saying our prayers that we can be ready by May!

We wanted to start blogging for our friends and family who live sadly so far from us so that we can all experience this journey together from start to finish! It truly does take a village to raise a child and we want our "village" to be a part, even though they may be far from us.

We hope you enjoy reading and keeping up with us as we start the excitement of pregnancy and parenthood!
